This bookmark depicts a lovely bonsai tree in a pot with an Asian Friendship sign at the top.
There are 21,842 stitches in this design measuring 6 x 1.69 inches. These bookmarks are finished off with fabric on the backside. Each bookmark has a different co-ordinated fabric. The bookmarks are sewn on stiff felt.
We use Fray Check around the edge of the bookmark and cut the design so some of the felt shows, saving the threads. At anytime the felt can be cut to the threads.
This item was machine embroidered by one of the Hollysisters. They live in the heart of Amish and Mennonite country where handmade items are a part of everyday life.
