This is a 6pc Japanese carving tool set. The handles are wrapped in bamboo for a firm grip while working on your bonsai.
These graving tools are designed for removal of bark in the jin technique known as ‘shari', and for sculpting the wood, in the method known as ‘shabamiki'. Each tool measures approximately 7” long.
They are made of superior steel, carve easily, sharpen in a minute, hold their edge, and tolerate constant abuse like twisting, turning, and scraping. These are fine quality Japanese Carving Tools.
The tools come in a green folding case that snaps closed. The tool case measures 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" when closed.
