This Japanese Saw is identical to Model # P7 on our website, but a little smaller. The saw is made specifically for cutting dense root stock. The wood handle is curved to provide a good grip for working on the roots. Its heavy-duty blade has a strong pointed tip for probing and fast cuts. Like all Japanese saws it cuts on the pull stroke, which prevents bending and binding and improves the smoothness of the cut. This pruning saw also produces the clean cuts that are so important for healthy tree. For example, not bruising the bark can actually protect the tree from damaging fungus or algae.
