Vintage Yixing Pot. This pot has been out of circulation for 15+ years. You'll see these in modern production, but they typically would not be Yixing nor would they bare a stamp. These are considered production pots. Older Yixing Pots are not as flawless as they are now, but this is a great looking larger pot with a cream glaze. The pot is NEW and the glaze is not flawless. If this were a classic car it would be considered a driver. The pot does not wobble. Great large pot for the price.

From the “YiXing” area of China's Jiangsu Province, widely considered the pottery capital of the China, these pots are simple, elegant, and shaped by hand. In fact, you'll find the craftsman's mark on the bottom of every pot. And each pot is made from the purple clay found near the Yangtze River, the best material there is for bonsai pots.
Note: We do not clean vintage pots. Most customers prefer the patina. However, if you prefer it cleaned, a little water and elbow grease will make these looks shinny - however, it's not something we recommend.
