A professional-looking, resealable stand-up pouch of Bonsai Thrive 180, a time-release fertilizer specifically formulated for the specialized needs of bonsai trees.

The packaging design is split vertically. The left side has a clean, textured white background featuring the product name "BONSAI THRIVE 180" in bold, black lettering beneath an orange circular logo of a stylized crane. Below the product name, several key horticultural benefits are listed: "Long-Lasting Nutrient Supply," "Low Risk of Over-Fertilization," "NPK 19-5-9 in Every Granule," and "Improved Root Development."

The right side of the bag is a deep forest green adorned with delicate, light-green line-art illustrations of leaves and branches. A large, clear, crescent-shaped window on this side reveals the actual fertilizer inside: small, uniform, spherical granules in shades of deep indigo and light blue.

At the bottom of the pouch are icons for "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" and a green checkmark indicating the product is "Ready to Use." The weight is listed as Net Wt. 10 oz (280 g). The overall image conveys a high-quality, specialized maintenance product for bonsai enthusiasts.

4-Piece Pre-Bonsai Starter Kit

If you enjoy working raw material and developing trees from the beginning, this is a fun kit. We put together this 4-piece pre-bonsai set with species bonsai people actually want to work with: a Twice-Cut Mark Comstock Japanese Black Pine, Kishu Shimpaku cutting, Amur Maple cutting, and Colorado Blue Spruce.

This mix gives you a little of everything: classic pine development, one of the most popular junipers in bonsai, deciduous structure and seasonal interest, and rugged conifer character. We are only offering 12 sets total, simply to clear bench space before new arrivals come in. Once these are gone, they are gone.

What’s Included

1. Twice-Cut Mark Comstock Japanese Black Pine

  • 2.5" plastic pot
  • Approximately 4" to 6" tall from soil
  • 2-year-old (twice cut)

A great piece for anyone who appreciates Japanese Black Pine development. The twice-cut material gives you a more interesting start than ordinary young stock, with early movement and future bonsai potential already underway. A fun tree for entusiasts who enjoy building taper, structure, and ramification over time.

2. Kishu Shimpaku Cutting

  • 6" plastic training pot
  • Approximately 6" to 10" tall from soil
  • 4-year-old cuttings

Kishu Shimpaku remains one of the most popular junipers in bonsai for good reason. Tight foliage, dependable growth, and excellent long-term potential make this a species nearly every bonsai enthusiast wants on the bench. These cuttings are at a great stage for early training and design decisions.

3. Amur Maple Cutting

  • 3" plastic pot
  • Approximately 10" to 18" tall from soil
  • 2-year-old from cutting

Amur Maple is a rewarding species for bonsai growers who enjoy deciduous trees. It responds well to pruning, develops quickly, and offers the potential for beautiful seasonal character. This is a good candidate for trunk development, directional pruning, and future ramification work.

4. Colorado Blue Spruce

  • 1 gallon pot
  • Approximately 12" to 14" tall from soil
  • 4-year-old from seed

Blue Spruce brings a completely different feel to the bench. Strong color, rugged character, and a distinctly coniferous look make it an appealing species for those who enjoy developing something with a little more mountain character.

Why Bonsai People Will Like This Kit

  • Japanese Black Pine for classic pine development
  • Kishu Shimpaku for one of the most beloved bonsai junipers
  • Amur Maple for deciduous structure and seasonal interest
  • Colorado Blue Spruce for unique conifer character

Whether you keep all four for yourself or split them between projects, this is a solid little bundle for anyone who enjoys the process of developing bonsai over time.

Limited to 12 sets.

We are clearing space before new arrivals hit the benches, so these are being offered as a limited bench-clearance bundle. This set will not be restocked in this format.
