One-Of-A-Kind Needle Juniper Styled by Bjorn
The Needle Juniper Bonsai, scientifically known as Juniperus rigida, is a popular species of bonsai tree. This evergreen coniferous tree is native to East Asia and is a member of the Cypress family.
The Needle Juniper Bonsai is characterized by its fine, needle-like foliage, which is usually dark green or bluish-green in color. The needles grow in clusters along the branches, creating a dense and compact foliage pad. The branches themselves have an attractive, twisting and gnarled appearance, adding to the overall aesthetic appeal of the bonsai.
This bonsai species has a naturally rugged and aged appearance, often resembling an ancient tree growing on rocky mountainsides. The bark is reddish-brown or grayish-brown and develops an interesting texture as the tree ages, with shallow furrows and fissures.
