A professional-looking, resealable stand-up pouch of Bonsai Thrive 180, a time-release fertilizer specifically formulated for the specialized needs of bonsai trees.

The packaging design is split vertically. The left side has a clean, textured white background featuring the product name "BONSAI THRIVE 180" in bold, black lettering beneath an orange circular logo of a stylized crane. Below the product name, several key horticultural benefits are listed: "Long-Lasting Nutrient Supply," "Low Risk of Over-Fertilization," "NPK 19-5-9 in Every Granule," and "Improved Root Development."

The right side of the bag is a deep forest green adorned with delicate, light-green line-art illustrations of leaves and branches. A large, clear, crescent-shaped window on this side reveals the actual fertilizer inside: small, uniform, spherical granules in shades of deep indigo and light blue.

At the bottom of the pouch are icons for "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" and a green checkmark indicating the product is "Ready to Use." The weight is listed as Net Wt. 10 oz (280 g). The overall image conveys a high-quality, specialized maintenance product for bonsai enthusiasts.

One-Of-A-Kind Imported Tiger Bark Ficus

Spring into serious bonsai with this old imported Tiger Bark Ficus. Hand-selected for trunk power, movement, and that unmistakable banyan vibe. This is not “future potential.” This is presence.

Update: This tree has been upgraded from its training container into a show-quality glazed Yixing ceramic pot. The pot elevates the entire composition and turns this ficus into a true display piece, ready for your bench.

Our take

This is the kind of ficus we pull aside when we’re styling benches for serious hobbyists. Big base, mature structure, and lots of room to refine.

  • Powerful trunk + base that reads like an older tropical tree that’s been reduced in scale.
  • Layered branching gives you options: compact crown, tropical umbrella silhouette, or a more banyan-style profile.
  • Air-root character adds depth and motion—something you can’t fake with pruning alone (and can be encouraged with humidity and time).
  • Now in a show pot — the glazed Yixing upgrade makes this a finished-looking specimen, not a “work-in-progress in plastic.”

If you’ve already cut your teeth on starter ficus and you’re ready for a tree you can really put your stamp on, this is a smart upgrade.

Product highlights

  • Old imported Tiger Bark Ficus — selected one-by-one for trunk girth, movement, and character
  • Vigorous + forgiving — styling changes show quickly, and it responds well to pruning and wiring
  • Air-root potential — existing roots add a banyan feel and can be encouraged to thicken and fuse
  • Display-ready — upgraded into a show-quality glazed Yixing ceramic pot
  • Indoor/tropical bonsai — best in bright indoor light or a warm greenhouse; protect from cold and drafts
