Pinus thunbergii – Grown by Mark Comstock
We were able to secure just 75 Japanese Black Pine cuttings from Mark Comstock, each now 4 to almost 5 years old. These aren’t ordinary seedlings — they are the result of years of expert cultivation by one of the most respected pine growers in the U.S.
Known for producing trees with world-class root bases, Mark’s pines are highly sought after by collectors and professionals alike.
Unlike seed-grown stock, these double-cut cuttings have had their taproot cut and regrown twice, producing 360° radial root systems with strong nebari potential. This gives you a massive head start in developing show-quality bonsai.

-
Mark Comstock stock – grown by one of the most respected pine specialists in North America
