Old Japanese Black Pine Bonsai – Wide Canopy, Powerful Trunk, First Time Online
This is an old Japanese Black Pine that has been hanging around our nursery for a couple years, but this is its first appearance online.
It’s the right size, with the right presence: a wide canopy, strong trunk movement, and branching that already feels mature. We believe this tree came to us through a trade a couple years ago, and it’s been patiently waiting for the right person.
Important note on condition: This pine does have wire marks. In many cases, when customers “age out” of the art, removing wire on schedule isn’t always top of mind. The wire has been removed, but the marks remain and will need time (and proper growth management) to repair themselves. This is reflected in the price, and it’s also what makes this a great opportunity for someone who knows what they’re looking at.
This tree is slated to be styled unless it finds a new home first, so if you’ve been looking for an older Black Pine with real character and you enjoy the work ahead, this one is worth a serious look.
The pot complements the tree very well. We do not believe the pot is Japanese, but it fits the scale and feel of the pine nicely.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit.
