One-of-a-Kind Oriental Ficus Bonsai (Ficus benjamina ‘Orientalis’)
This is the kind of tropical bonsai that makes a room feel finished. Ficus benjamina ‘Orientalis’ (often called Oriental Ficus) is prized for its elegant leaf shape and naturally graceful branching, soft movement, refined foliage, and a calm, “miniature tree” presence that looks right at home indoors.
This particular tree is a one-of-a-kind, multi-trunk (Clump-Style) with a broad, dense canopy that you can enjoy as-is or refine over time into a tighter, more defined silhouette. Ficus is also one of the most forgiving tropical bonsai, which means you can actually have fun with it: prune, shape, and watch it respond.

Why People Love Oriental Ficus
- Indoor-friendly tropical bonsai with a naturally elegant look
- Forgiving species—a great option if you want beauty without constant stress
- Responds well to pruning, allowing you to build density and refine the canopy
- Flexible branching that can be trained over time for a more dramatic or more refined silhouette
Quick Care (Simple + Effective)
- Light: Bright light is best. Place near a sunny window or use a quality grow light. Avoid harsh, direct all-day sun through glass.
- Water: Water thoroughly when the surface begins to dry. Don’t let it stay bone-dry for long periods, and don’t keep it constantly soaked.
- Temperature: Keep warm and stable. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature swings.
- Pruning: Let it push growth, then prune back to maintain shape and encourage density.
- Acclimation note: Like many ficus, it may shed a few leaves when moved to a new environment—this is normal. Keep light consistent and avoid overwatering during adjustment.
Notes
- Photos show the exact tree you’ll receive.
- As a live tree, minor cosmetic change is normal as it continues to grow and acclimate.
