One-of-a-Kind Oriental Ficus Bonsai (Ficus benjamina ‘Orientalis’)
This is a Tropical bonsai with real presence. Clean trunk lines, a full canopy, and that calm, refined look Ficus benjamina is known for. ‘Orientalis’ (often called Oriental Ficus) brings graceful movement and elegant foliage that reads like a miniature shade tree.
This particular tree has a balanced Clump-Style feel with a well-developed canopy that you can enjoy immediately. Over time, you can refine it even further by selectively pruning to tighten the silhouette and build denser branching. It’s also one of the most forgiving tropical species—meaning it’s a joy to own and a joy to improve.

Why This Ficus Works So Well Indoors

- Pruning-responsive—easy to maintain and fun to refine over time
- One-of-a-kind structure you won’t see duplicated
Quick Care (Simple + Effective)
- Light: Bright, consistent light is best. Near a sunny window or under a quality grow light. Avoid harsh all-day direct sun through glass.
- Water: Water thoroughly when the surface begins to dry. Don’t let it stay bone-dry for long periods, and don’t keep it constantly saturated.
- Temperature: Keep warm and stable. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature swings.
- Pruning: Let it push growth, then prune back to maintain shape and encourage density.
- Acclimation note: It’s normal for ficus to drop a few leaves after shipping or a location change. Keep light consistent and avoid overwatering during adjustment.
Notes
- Photos show the exact tree you’ll receive.
- As a live tree, minor cosmetic change is normal as it continues to grow and acclimate.
