Ponytail Palm Pre-Bonsai (Beaucarnea guatemalensis) – The Fun “Living Sculpture”
This one is pure personality. Ponytail Palm is a tropical that looks like it belongs in a design magazine. Thick, swollen base (caudex), a clean trunk line, and a crazy-fun burst of flowing leaves. It’s not a fussy bonsai… it’s a living sculpture you get to style and show off.
Limited batch: We have 12 available. You may receive the exact plant shown, but they are very consistent and will look nearly identical in size and form.
Styling tip: This is the kind of plant that begs for a loud pot. Bright glaze, bold color, modern shape... go for it. (The red ceramic pot shown in the photos is not included; it’s just inspiration.)

Quick Care (Simple + Effective)
- Light: Bright light is best. Sunny window or strong grow light recommended.
- Water: Let it dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, then wait until the soil is mostly dry again. (Overwatering is the main mistake.)
- Temperature: Tropical—protect from cold and drafts.
- Growth & shaping: Slow and steady. Enjoy it as a sculptural plant now and refine the presentation over time with pot choice and clean maintenance.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
