Rare Old Ezo Spruce Bonsai in Yamaaki Tokoname Pot – Classic Upright, Collector Tree
This is a special one.
This Old Ezo Spruce is a local customer tree that’s now ready for a new chapter, and a new bench. Ezo Spruce are rare in our nursery, and when we do get one, it never lasts long. (The last one we had was scooped up quickly.)
What makes Ezo Spruce so loved in bonsai is the combination of fine, compact needles, a naturally dense branching habit, and that unmistakable “mountain conifer” look that feels both calm and powerful. This tree has a classic upright silhouette with layered structure that will keep improving as it’s refined over time.
Note: The tree does have subtle wire marks. They’re minimal, and with normal growth they should fade and disappear this year or next. We wanted to be transparent so you know exactly what you’re getting.
It’s also planted in an aged Yamaaki Japanese ceramic pot (Tokoname). It’s a beautiful, understated container that matches the character of the tree without stealing the show, exactly what you want for a high-quality spruce.
The tree you see is the tree you’ll receive.
