A professional-looking, resealable stand-up pouch of Bonsai Thrive 180, a time-release fertilizer specifically formulated for the specialized needs of bonsai trees.

The packaging design is split vertically. The left side has a clean, textured white background featuring the product name "BONSAI THRIVE 180" in bold, black lettering beneath an orange circular logo of a stylized crane. Below the product name, several key horticultural benefits are listed: "Long-Lasting Nutrient Supply," "Low Risk of Over-Fertilization," "NPK 19-5-9 in Every Granule," and "Improved Root Development."

The right side of the bag is a deep forest green adorned with delicate, light-green line-art illustrations of leaves and branches. A large, clear, crescent-shaped window on this side reveals the actual fertilizer inside: small, uniform, spherical granules in shades of deep indigo and light blue.

At the bottom of the pouch are icons for "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" and a green checkmark indicating the product is "Ready to Use." The weight is listed as Net Wt. 10 oz (280 g). The overall image conveys a high-quality, specialized maintenance product for bonsai enthusiasts.

Tall Japanese Maple Bonsai with Layered Spring Canopy

This Japanese Maple bonsai has a taller, more developed look that immediately gives it extra presence. The canopy rises in soft layers, with fresh spring foliage extending outward in a way that feels light, graceful, and full of movement. It already has a more substantial silhouette than many smaller developing maples, which makes it especially appealing for someone who wants a tree that feels a little more established right now.

What makes this one attractive is the balance between refinement and opportunity. The trunk has subtle movement at the base, the branching is beginning to stack nicely, and the overall structure gives this tree a very natural upright feel. It has the kind of shape that already looks beautiful on display, while still leaving plenty of room for future ramification and improvement over time.

Planted in a 6" Tokoname grow pot, this tree offers a lot of visual value in a manageable size. The fresh spring foliage softens the silhouette, while the taller profile helps it stand out from more compact maples. If you are looking for a Japanese Maple with a little more height, more fullness, and excellent long-term potential, this is a strong choice.

  • Species: Japanese Maple
  • Height: 13" from soil to apex
  • Spread: 12"
  • Pot: 6" Tokoname grow pot
  • Tree Number: #5
  • Photographed: March 25, 2026
  • Ships From: Our Massachusetts nursery

Seasonal Note: Japanese Maples are deciduous trees and their appearance changes throughout the year. The spring foliage on this tree is still tender and may continue to expand, shift slightly in color, and change naturally with the season. Minor leaf movement, softening, or small blemishes during shipping are normal and do not indicate a problem with the health of the tree.
