About The Bonsai Tree:
- Medium Dwarf Jade - 4 Years Old, 6 - 8" Tall
- We'd like to celebrate a tree that's a staple of the South African Elephant's diet, which is weird because I always just assumed that they lived off of circus peanuts.
- Like Cactus and Aloe, Dwarf Jades are "succulents", which comes from the Latin word sucus, meaning juice, or sap.
- I point this out because it means that Jades have sappy juice in their leaves and therefore don't need a lot of watering from you, which is good because forgetting to water things is very easy to do.
- Dwarf Jades have beautiful thick, round, dark-green (or "Jade", if you will) leaves.
- The Jade has been nicknamed “The Elephant Plant” due to its symbiotic relationship with the world’s largest land mammal. As the elephants strip the leaves and cause general destruction during feeding frenzies, the fallen broken branches of the Jade propagate and within a few weeks the fleshy emerald leaves have grown back for more (but, unless you're an elephant, please don't eat your Jade).
- Dwarf Jades are gorgeous, fast growing, perfect if you ever have Dumbo over for dinner and require little more than the occasional watering and lots of bright sunlight. And love.

About the Humidity Tray

Made in Japan (unlike most Humidity Trays sold in the United States) so they’re sturdy, durable and authentic.

Designed specifically to maintain moisture levels, which are absolutely critical for Bonsai trees. As the excess water in the tray evaporates, your tree will be surrounded by the humidity, and it’ll love you for it.

Each tray includes River Rocks or Sand (what you receive depends on which nursery it ships from), which are both functional and add to the general aesthetic of your Bonsai. The tray and rocks/sand can also be used for Cacti, Succulents or any other house plant.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
