Handmade Bonsai Pot by Reiho (Katsushi Kataoka)
This handmade bonsai pot was made at Seizan Kiln in Tokoname by Reiho (Katsushi Kataoka), 4th generation. I visited the kiln in November 2025 and had the honor of hand-selecting pots directly from what was available on site, not from a catalog.
Condition note: This pot is new and unused.
This glazed oval bonsai pot features a shallow profile, a softly rounded rim, and a rich dark blue finish with excellent visual depth. The glossy glaze gives the pot a refined, elegant presence, while the light unglazed interior provides a clean planting surface and strong contrast. Its lower silhouette and oval form make it especially well suited for deciduous bonsai, flowering material, and compositions that benefit from a softer, more graceful container.
