Handmade Bonsai Pot by Bigei
This elegant round bonsai pot was made in Tokoname, Japan by Bigei, a respected name among Tokoname potters. I selected this piece during my November 2025 buying trip to Japan, where we had the opportunity to visit kilns, build relationships, and hand-pick pots directly from what was available on site.
This pot has a refined, low-profile shape with a softly flared wall, a broad rounded rim, and decorative beaded detailing at both the upper edge and lower band. The unglazed reddish-brown clay gives it a warm traditional look, while the repeated bead pattern adds character and visual rhythm without overwhelming the composition.
