John Fazzino – Ceramic Artist & Bonsai Pot Maker
John Fazzino’s passions—gardening and clay—inspire his handbuilt ceramics, blending nature with functional artistry. Working with clay since the late 1970s, he earned his BFA from RISD (1986) and MFA from UMass Dartmouth (1989), later teaching ceramics at colleges and community art centers.
A long-time admirer of bonsai, John recently shifted his focus to crafting bonsai pots, recognizing the artistry and dedication required to cultivate these trees. His pots are made with a high-grog clay blend, ensuring durability, weather resistance, and a vitreous finish.
Based in Mt. Pleasant, Providence, John integrates his ceramics into his lush garden, where art and nature coexist. His work reflects a deep connection to the earth, offering bonsai enthusiasts thoughtfully designed, long-lasting planters.
