Handmade Bonsai Pot by Bigei
This refined oval bonsai pot was made in Tokoname, Japan by Bigei, a respected name among Tokoname potters. I selected this piece during my November 2025 buying trip to Japan, where we had the opportunity to visit kilns, build relationships, and hand-pick pots directly from what was available on site.
This pot has a quiet, understated elegance with a softly rounded rim, smooth curved walls, and subtle horizontal banding that adds just enough definition. The unglazed reddish-brown clay gives it a warm traditional look, while the clean oval form makes it an easy match for a wide range of trees.
