Handmade Bonsai Pot by Bigei
This refined rectangular bonsai pot was made in Tokoname, Japan by Bigei, a respected name among Tokoname potters. I selected this piece during my November 2025 buying trip to Japan, where we had the opportunity to visit kilns, build relationships, and hand-pick pots directly from what was available on site.
This pot has a clean, balanced form with softly rounded corners, a subtle horizontal band through the body, and a smooth matte finish. The unglazed reddish-brown clay gives it a warm traditional look, while the simple structure makes it versatile and easy to pair with a wide range of trees.
