MicroTotal is Vitamins for your plants. It’s 8 Chelated Micronutrients you bonsai needs
For a bonsai to grow, the soil must have its nutritional content replenished. The most serious elements; nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (NPK). Known as the major plant nutrients. This is your basic Ho Yoku 3-3-3 Fertilizer.
However, there are a further 'trace elements’ (Micro) that are required, but only in small quantities. These include boron (B), chlorine (Cl), cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo) and zinc (Zn).
Think of Ho Yoku MicroTotal as vitamin supplements. This product compliments Ho Yoku 3-3-3 fertilizer with 8 Chelated Micronutrients your tree needs. Less often but needed.
A lack of minerals, like copper and iron and zinc, can cause health problems very similar to those people get from mineral deficiencies. Common signs of micronutrient deficiency in Bonsai trees include: Browning or yellowing leafs, "Scorched" black edges on leafs, Blotchy, mottled or marbled leaf textures along the capillaries or aborted flower buds. These are often mis-diagnosed as diseases or parasites when, in fact, it is just a simple nutrient deficiency which Ho Yoku micronutrient supplements can provide.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
