About This Tree

This Cork Bark Jade has a strong trunk line with visible corking from the lower trunk into the branching structure. The bark is already textured and fissured, giving the tree the aged look that makes this cultivar so collectible among tropical bonsai growers.

The tree has a compact canopy with small, bright green succulent leaves and multiple branch directions for future refinement. It can be developed further in its grow pot or eventually transitioned into a bonsai pot when the next owner is ready to refine the presentation.

Care Notes

Frank Yee Cork Bark Jade requires the same general care as Dwarf Mini Jade. It is a tropical succulent bonsai and is not cold hardy. In colder climates, grow it indoors in bright light and protect it from cold drafts. It may be placed outdoors during warm weather once nighttime temperatures are consistently safe for tropical plants.

Water thoroughly when the soil has dried down, then allow the soil to dry again before watering. Cork Bark Jade prefers bright light, warm conditions, and a well-draining soil mix. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.
