This tree already shows the cork bark texture that makes Frank Yee Cork Bark Jades so desirable. The trunk and branches have visible corking, with rough tan-brown bark, dark crevices, and textured surface detail that gives the tree an aged, rugged look.

This tree has a taller 15" structure with a 13" spread and multiple branch levels, giving it a strong tree-like form in its 10" grow pot. The rounded green foliage and open branching make it a strong candidate for continued tropical bonsai refinement.

About This Tree

This Cork Bark Jade has a taller structure with a defined trunk and multiple branching areas that can be refined into a more developed bonsai silhouette. The bark is already corked and textured, especially around the lower trunk and primary branch junctions.

The canopy has several separate foliage masses, giving the next owner options for styling, thinning, and future pad development. It can continue growing in the current grow pot or be transitioned into a bonsai container when ready for a more finished presentation.

Care Notes

Frank Yee Cork Bark Jade requires the same general care as Dwarf Mini Jade. It is a tropical succulent bonsai and is not cold hardy. In colder climates, grow it indoors in bright light and protect it from cold drafts. It may be placed outdoors during warm weather once nighttime temperatures are consistently safe for tropical plants.

Water thoroughly when the soil has dried down, then allow the soil to dry again before watering. Cork Bark Jade prefers bright light, warm conditions, and a well-draining soil mix. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.
