Imported Tiger Bark Ficus Bonsai with S-Curve Trunk, Aerial Roots, and Great Nebari
This is the exact Imported Tiger Bark Ficus bonsai tree you will receive.
This imported Tiger Bark Ficus has the kind of structure bonsai collectors look for in a tropical specimen. The trunk has clear S-curve movement, strong surface root character, and great nebari that gives the tree a grounded, established feel.
The base is especially compelling, with aerial root development and exposed roots that add age and interest to the composition. The bark texture, trunk movement, and root structure work together to give this ficus a mature tropical look that is difficult to find in younger material.
The canopy is full and healthy, with multiple foliage pads and a graceful right-extending branch that gives the tree width and visual balance. Planted in a glazed Japanese ceramic pot, this Tiger Bark Ficus is ready to display while still offering room for continued refinement.
Why This Tree Stands Out
- S-Curve Trunk: Natural trunk movement gives the tree flow and character from the front view.
- Great Nebari: Strong surface roots help anchor the tree visually and add the feeling of age.
- Aerial Root Interest: Visible aerial and exposed root structure create the tropical ficus character collectors love.
- Full Canopy: Dense green foliage and defined branch movement give the tree a mature, balanced presentation.
- Imported Tropical Bonsai: A distinctive Tiger Bark Ficus with the trunk, roots, and canopy already well established.
- Exact Tree Shown: The tree pictured is the exact tree you will receive.

Care Notes
Tiger Bark Ficus is a tropical bonsai and should be protected from cold temperatures. Grow it indoors in bright light or outdoors during warm weather, then bring it inside before temperatures drop below approximately 50°F.
Water when the soil begins to dry, and keep the tree in a bright location to support healthy growth. Regular pruning will help maintain the canopy shape, encourage tighter branching, and support continued refinement.

Please Note
This is a living tree. Small changes in leaf growth, color, or minor surface details may occur after photography. All trees are sold as-is. All sales are final - no refunds, returns, or exchanges. We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
