Lavender Starflower Bonsai with a Full Canopy in a Glazed Yixing Pot
This Lavender Starflower has a nice full canopy, a sturdy trunk, and a good amount of established branching underneath. It was photographed in early July while it was actively flowering, and you can still see both open blooms and plenty of flower buds throughout the tree.
We did not prune these because they were continuing to flower, and then I forgot to post them. So, this tree has continued growing since these photographs were taken and will be a little leggier than shown. The trunk and underlying branch structure are the same. It simply has additional growth that can be enjoyed for now or pruned back later.

About This Tree
I like this one because it already feels finished. The canopy is nice and full, the trunk has good presence, and the light glazed Yixing pot gives it a clean, refined look. It is a nice flowering tropical for someone who wants a tree with color, character, and a little more maturity than a starter bonsai.
Shipping Expectations
Lavender Starflower is known for dropping foliage during shipping. Some trees lose only a few leaves, while others may drop quite a bit. This is normal for the species and does not automatically mean the tree is unhealthy.
Once it settles back into warmth and bright light, it will normally begin producing fresh growth. If you are expecting the tree to arrive looking exactly as it does in the photographs, this may not be the right species for you, or you may want to wait for another batch. The tree has grown since these photos were taken, and some foliage may also be lost during transit.
