Lavender Starflower Bonsai with a Rounded Canopy and Lavender Blooms
This Lavender Starflower has a nice upright trunk, a broad rounded canopy, and plenty of established branching underneath the foliage. It was photographed in early July while it was actively flowering and still had several additional buds developing.
We did not prune it because it was continuing to flower, and then I forgot to post it. It has continued growing since these photographs were taken, so it will be a little leggier than shown. The trunk and underlying branch structure are the same. It simply has additional summer growth that can be enjoyed for now or pruned back later.
This is the exact Lavender Starflower bonsai you will receive.

About This Tree
This one has a really nice overall balance. The canopy is wide without feeling oversized, and the smaller pot makes the tree look more mature. The trunk and main branches are already established, so the next step is simply deciding how tightly you want to maintain the canopy.
You can let it continue flowering for a while or prune the newer growth back later to bring the shape back in.
Shipping Expectations
Lavender Starflower is known for dropping foliage during shipping. Some trees lose only a few leaves, while others may drop quite a bit. This is normal for the species and does not automatically mean the tree is unhealthy.
Once it settles back into warmth and bright light, it will normally begin producing fresh growth. If you are expecting the tree to arrive looking exactly as it does in the photographs, this may not be the right species for you. The tree has grown since these photos were taken, and it may also lose foliage during transit.
The trunk, branches, pot, and underlying tree are exactly what you are purchasing.
Please Note
All trees are sold as-is. All sales are final - no refunds, returns, or exchanges. Once the tree leaves our nursery, care is your responsibility. Have questions? Just reach out - we're happy to help.
We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
