Lavender Starflower Bonsai with Lavender Blooms in a Glazed Yixing Pot
This Lavender Starflower has a nice low, spreading canopy, a trunk with good movement, and a really pretty glazed Yixing pot that fits the tree well. It was photographed in early July while it was flowering, and you can see both open blooms and additional buds throughout the canopy.
We did not prune these because they were continuing to flower, and then I forgot to post them. So, this tree has continued growing since these photographs were taken and will be a little leggier than shown. The underlying trunk and branch structure are the same. It simply has additional growth that can be enjoyed for now or pruned back later.
This is the exact Lavender Starflower bonsai you will receive.

About This Tree
I like this one because it already has a nice silhouette and a good amount of character. The canopy sits low and wide, the trunk has movement, and the pot gives it a more finished look. It is a nice flowering tropical for someone who wants a tree with a little more personality than a basic green bonsai.
Shipping Expectations
Lavender Starflower is known for dropping foliage during shipping. Some trees lose only a few leaves, while others may drop quite a bit. This is normal for the species and does not automatically mean the tree is unhealthy.
Once it settles back into warmth and bright light, it will normally begin producing fresh growth. If you are expecting the tree to arrive looking exactly as it does in the photographs, this may not be the right species for you, or you may want to wait for another batch. The tree has grown since these photos were taken, and some foliage may also be lost during transit.
The trunk, branches, pot, and underlying tree are exactly what you are purchasing.
Please Note
All trees are sold as-is. All sales are final - no refunds, returns, or exchanges. Once the tree leaves our nursery, care is your responsibility. Have questions? Just reach out - we're happy to help.
We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
