Imported Japanese White Pine (Five Needle Pine)
This is a rare treat — a 2-piece Japanese Maple set featuring two of our most sought-after varieties: a Deshojo and a Katsura, both grown from cuttings (not grafted). These are true-to-type trees with clean, natural root systems and no graft union to distract from their beauty. The kind of foundation material you don’t see offered often.
Each one has its own personality:

The Deshojo (about 20" tall) bursts with fiery spring red, softens to green through summer, and then closes the year with rich crimson tones in fall.

The Katsura (about 17" tall) greets spring with warm orange-yellow foliage before shifting to light green, and finishes the season in golden brilliance.
Both trees were photographed on October 23rd, and depending on when you order, they may arrive leafless as they settle into their winter dormancy — completely normal and a sign of a healthy, cold-hardy maple doing exactly what nature intended.
