One-Of-A-Kind Chinese Elm (Tropical)

This Chinese Elm is ready for additional Styling. It's starting to fill out nicely. Chinese Elm is one of the most popular bonsai trees, especially among beginners. This Chinese elm has been grown as a tropical and is maintained above 65 degrees in the winter months. You can acclimate the tree to become deciduous and have it go dormant if you'd like. These lovely semi-evergreen trees can grow up to 65 feet tall in their native habitat, but have been cultivated in miniature form for Bonsai for generations.

It is an ideal choice for those just starting out because it is slow-growing and tolerant, the Chinese Elm allows beginners plenty of time and forgiveness to grow accustomed to bonsai care making it one of the most loved and most undemanding of miniature trees. It's important to note that Chinese Elm can defoliate themselves after shipping. That's normal and the foliage grows back within a couple weeks. 

This gem has branches in all the right places. Originally imported from China, this elm was recently repotted at our Nursery in Florida and the roots are now established and the tree is ready to ship.

IMPORTANT: Chinese Elms will shed a lot of leaves during the shipping process. This is normal. Within a few weeks, you will see new growth. We know that's disappointing, but unless you are close to a bonsai nursery, this is your only option. We just want to let you know in advance.

Please note that while we take every precaution by using heat packs, extremely cold weather can still pose risks to the health of your precious trees. If the night-time temperatures are forecasted to drop below 38 degrees Fahrenheit, we will carefully monitor and assess the weather conditions.

Should we determine that the weather might compromise the health of your bonsai during transit, we'll promptly notify you via email. We'll also provide alternative options to ensure the safe and healthy arrival of your beloved trees. Your satisfaction and the well-being of your bonsai trees are our top priorities.
