This is a One Of A Kind Juniper Itoigawa Shimpaku
This pot Grown Itoigawa is somewhere around 15 years old. It has an interesting trunk line and branches to work with and style. Definitely an opportunity for deadwood (Jin / Shari). The tree is healthy, ready to ship and style. This tree will need to be repotted this spring. The soil is compact.
This is a tree that we didn't get to style. This tree is healthy, but it needs to be repotted this spring. It does not photograph well, but it's got great Jin / Shari opportunity. It's doing fabulous, and unless you are experienced, i would repot this year, and style next year. Itoigawa are highly sought after trees. Once these are sold, we do have have anymore like these. NOTE - i would change the angle of this tree, in the pot.

Wiring is best done in autumn or early winter, so that the branches can become accustomed to their new position while the tree is dormant. Wiring done at other times must be watched carefully for signs of wire cutting into the bark, and must be removed immediately if this happens. If necessary, the tree can be re-wired after removing the old wire.
Repotting is best done in spring. Junipers can also be repotted in autumn if necessary, since they enter a period of renewed root growth at that time. Extensive root pruning in autumn is probably not a good idea, however.
