The Madagascar palm has a distinctive and captivating appearance, resembling a miniature palm tree with a thick, bottle-shaped trunk that stores water. The trunk is covered with sharp spines or thorns, giving it a cactus-like appearance. The leaves are sparse and typically clustered at the top of the trunk, forming a small crown of green, narrow, and elongated leaves.
