About Jim Smith:
Speaking of Jim Smith, although I never had the opportunity to meet him personally, I frequented his nursery in Vero Beach, Florida. For those who may be unfamiliar with Jim Smith, he was a globally renowned bonsai artist and one of the founding members of the Treasure Coast Bonsai Society.
Prior to his passing in 2009, Jim was the proud owner of the esteemed Dura-Stone Bonsai Nursery in Vero Beach, FL. Today, the majority of his remarkable trees are housed at Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL, as Jim generously donated over 100 trees to the garden.
