One-Of-A-Kind Tiger Bark Ficus

The Tiger Bark Ficus bonsai tree, scientifically known as Ficus microcarpa 'tigerbark,' is a captivating and visually striking variety of bonsai. It derives its name from the distinctive and eye-catching bark pattern that resembles the stripes of a tiger. This unique feature sets it apart from other Ficus microcarpa cultivars.

• Consignment Tree: This tree belongs to one of our customers and he's trying to find it a new home. The tree is an absolute conversation piece and looks fabulous in person. The tree is extremely healthy and currently located at our Nursery in MA (NEBG). 
• Tokoname Ceramic Pot: The specimen was repotted this spring (2023) into a $350 Blue Oval Glazed Japanese Tokoname Pot. I'll see if I can get my eyes on the potters stamp to identify the potter. The tree was styled 2 years ago and the wire was removed this spring. 
• Age: The tree is estimated at 40 years old and weights 37 lbs.
