Old Hand Made Asian White Porcelain Foo Fu Dogs Lions w/Makers Mark
This amazingly hand made foo dog has incredible character. The facial expressions show personality - definitely an aggressive stance.
Foo dogs are symbolic, protective statues – one is female and one is male. The female represents yin and symbolically protects the people dwelling in the home, while the male represents yang, protects the structure itself. This would appear to be the male.
The foo dog is marked with maker’s mark. Both Chinese culture and Japanese culture celebrate foo dogs. It’s hard to tell which country this foo dogs was made.
This amazing foo dog could be a nice display on a coffee table or dinning table, symbolically protecting your family. Porcelain foo dogs are selling for thousands of dollars online.
