This Chinese Elm is ready for Styling. It's starting to fill out nicely. Chinese Elm is one of the most popular bonsai trees, especially among beginners. This Chinese elm has been grown as a deciduous and should spend it's time outside. 

This tree was imported 15+ years ago by Hollow Creek in Rochester, NY. When we acquired this tree, it was root bound. We root pruned and removed as much old soil as safely possible in early 2021. It's recovered nicely, the tree is healthy, and is ready for it's forever home. It needs pruning / styling. 

It is an ideal choice for those just starting out because it is slow-growing and tolerant, the Chinese Elm allows beginners plenty of time and forgiveness to grow accustomed to bonsai care making it one of the most loved and most undemanding of miniature trees. It's important to note that Chinese Elm can defoliate themselves after shipping. That's normal and the foliage grows back within a couple weeks. 

Tree Features: The tree measures approximately 15.5" tall with a spread between 11". It's in a beautiful 8" Ceramic Pot.
