This is a One-Of-A-Kind Non-Grafted KotoHime Japanese Maple
This is an awesome maple. Maples have been tough to find. We've travelled to the west coast twice this year on the hunt for maples. And although we have hundreds (thousands) of them growing, we only have a few of these shohin-sized Kotohime maples. These are NON-Grafted.
With their small attractive leaves, delicate texture and brilliant color, Koto-Hime cultivars are very desirable for bonsai. New leaves emerge in reddish shades often with a pink edge, which in summer turn to a rich green. A yellow-orange hue follows in the fall. Stately twiggy structure, well defined root flair and canopy. Prefers dappled shade and protection against strong, drying winds.
Japanese Maples are the perfect tree to add contrast and texture to your collection. The soft delicate texture and brilliant colors are the perfect balance for your strong pines and junipers.
These are gems with great trunks and branches.
