About The Artists: 

Each slab starts with a hand-shaped frame made of stainless-steel wire, giving the piece strength and structure. From there, Preston builds up layers using a custom ceramic mix he developed himself. It’s sculpted entirely by hand—no molds, no shortcuts.

After shaping, the slab cures for over two months, slowly hardening and settling into its final form. Then it’s hand-stained, textured, and cured again for another 30 days.

The result? A one-of-a-kind slab that looks and feels like it was pulled from the wild—perfect for bonsai and kusamono displays that deserve something special.
