Sam Miller is relatively new to bonsai pottery. He started creating bonsai pottery in 2015. As most potters, he could never find enough pots to accommodate the trees he was collecting. That inspied him to make his own pottery and he immediately became obsessed with wheel thrown pottery. Sam is known for his high fired oxide stained dark clay pots, always with reduction to bring out the metallic sheen..

Tim Shoup, a collector of everything bonsai (trees, pots and art), sold off his celebrated collection to New England Bonsai Garden (NEBG).
This is the beginning of a new chapter for Tim and an opportunity for NEBG to add hundreds of new items. A couple trees were accepted to the 2023 Nationals, In Rochester NY.
The item listed above was part of Tim’s collection. We are trying to provide you with as much information as possible (e.g. age, artist, flaws, etc). If you have any questions, please contact us. I try to describe the items to the best of my knowledge.
