From the “YiXing” area of China's Jiangsu Province , widely considered the pottery capital of the China, these pots are simple, elegant, and shaped by hand. In fact, you'll find the craftsman's mark on the bottom of every pot. Each pot is made from the purple clay found near the Yangtze River, the best material there is for bonsai pots.

Hand made in the Yixing Province of China. Known for centuries their excellence in ceramics and fine clay pots. Yixing (pronounced yeeshing) bonsai pots come from the Yixing region of China, located about 120 miles northwest of Shanghai in the Jiangsu province. Yixing Bonsai Pots have been renowned since the Sung Dynasty (960-1279) when the unique Yisha clay was first discovered in this area.
