Used Koyo Glazed Oval Bonsai Pot
This is a beautiful used Koyo bonsai pot, believed to be by 2nd generation Aiba Kuniaki, also known as Juko Koyo. Koyo pots are highly respected among bonsai collectors for their quality, glaze work, and usefulness with refined bonsai.
This small oval pot has a vibrant blue-green glaze with turquoise, teal, and darker blue tones throughout. The glaze has wonderful movement and surface character, with speckling, variation, and areas of natural patina from age and previous use. The lighter unglazed interior gives the pot a nice contrast and keeps the overall presentation from feeling too heavy.
The pot has a soft oval form with a slightly flared wall, rounded lip, and raised feet. It would pair beautifully with a small flowering bonsai, tropical tree, broadleaf evergreen, shohin-sized deciduous tree, or any bonsai where a colorful glazed container would enhance the composition.
This is a used pot and does show signs of previous use, patina, and surface character. Please review the photos carefully. The underside includes the potter’s chop / maker’s mark.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
