Australian Brush Cherry Bonsai with Full Rounded Canopy
This Australian Brush Cherry, also known as Tropical Cherry, has a really nice full look and plenty of branches to continue working with.
The tree has a compact, rounded canopy with lots of small green leaves and active branching throughout. It already has a strong visual presence, but there is still plenty of room to refine the shape over time. With regular pruning, the canopy can be tightened, shaped, and developed into a more polished tropical bonsai.
The trunk has nice texture and movement as it rises into the canopy, with multiple branches creating a natural, layered structure. This is a good tree for someone who wants a tropical bonsai that already feels established, but still gives them something to work on and improve.
The foliage is dense and healthy, with fresh growth visible throughout the canopy. Australian Brush Cherry is a popular tropical bonsai species because it responds well to pruning and can develop a beautiful, compact silhouette with consistent care.
It is planted in an 11" glazed Japanese ceramic pot with a soft green finish. The pot color works nicely with the foliage and gives the tree a clean, finished presentation.

Care Notes
Australian Brush Cherry is a tropical bonsai and should be protected from cold temperatures. In warm climates, it can be grown outdoors in bright light. In colder areas, it should be brought indoors for the winter and kept near a bright window or under grow lights.
Water when the soil begins to dry slightly, but do not allow the tree to dry out completely. Brush Cherry responds well to regular pruning, which will help maintain the rounded canopy and encourage tighter branching over time.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
