This collected American Larch has a wonderful raw, natural feel and is already pushing beautiful bright green spring growth. The tree has an aged, textured trunk, interesting branch placement, and a clean upright movement that gives the next owner plenty to work with.
As with our collected larch, this tree was collected years ago and has had time to settle into container culture. It is not a finished bonsai. It is a mature pre-bonsai with established character, ready for someone who wants to continue the design work and bring out the best version of the tree over time.
American Larch is a deciduous conifer, which makes it especially fun for bonsai. It wakes up in spring with soft, bright green needles, develops through the growing season, then turns color and drops its needles in fall before going fully dormant for winter. If you enjoy trees with strong seasonal interest, larch is a great species to work with.
This tree has a nice balance of age and opportunity. The trunk already has character, the new growth is strong, and the structure is still open enough that the next owner can decide the future direction. Please note: American Larch is an outdoor tree and should not be kept indoors. It requires outdoor growing conditions and a true winter dormancy period.

Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.

** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit.
