Collected Olive Bonsai with Carved Trunk
This is a one-of-a-kind Collected Olive bonsai with incredible age, texture, and character. This tree came to us on trade and has clearly had work done over the years, including previous carving that gives the trunk a rugged, ancient feel.
The trunk is the standout feature. It has deep texture, hollows, natural-looking deadwood, and a weathered presence that immediately gives the tree age and personality. The live growth is emerging from several areas of the trunk, giving the next owner plenty of options for future development.
This tree has already been carved, but there is still room to continue refining the deadwood if desired. It could be developed as a dramatic old olive with a more naturalistic feel, or the carving could be pushed further for a more artistic, powerful composition.
It is planted in a beautiful glazed ceramic pot. We believe this may be a Japanese Tokoname pot, but we are not 100% certain, so we are listing it more conservatively as a glazed ceramic pot. Either way, the pot complements the tree very well and gives the planting a finished, refined look.
This is a heavy tree, and the shipping estimate reflects the added weight and packing required to help ensure safe arrival.

Development Notes
This tree has already had carving work done, but it is not necessarily “finished.” The next owner could continue developing the deadwood, refine the live branches, and build a more finished canopy over time. Olive responds well to thoughtful pruning and can produce strong new growth when healthy and properly cared for.

This is a heavy tree. Shipping costs are estimated based on the weight, pot size, and the extra packing required for safe arrival. We will pack carefully to protect both the tree and ceramic pot.
Care Note
Olive bonsai prefer bright light, excellent drainage, and a warm growing environment. In colder climates, they should be protected from freezing temperatures and overwintered in a suitable protected space. Allow the soil to approach dryness between watering, but do not let the tree stay dry for extended periods.

Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
