Big, gnarly, and incredibly corky! We’re releasing just 10 exceptional Cork Bark Jade pre-bonsai from our collection.

We originally acquired these trees from renowned grower Frank Yee six years ago, when they were already mature pre-bonsai. They spent the next several years growing at our Florida nursery before being relocated to Massachusetts in the fall of 2024 for their next stage of development.

Our original plan was to move most of these trees into ceramic bonsai pots next spring. However, with winter boarding in full swing, we need to make some room on our benches. That means an opportunity for 10 customers to get their hands on some truly impressive material.

These are not your typical Jade bonsai. Each tree is over 10 years old, with thick, rugged trunks, incredible corky bark, and plenty of character. They’re mature, established trees with a great foundation for further refinement.

We’ll be offering just 10 individually photographed trees, so you can select the exact Cork Bark Jade you want to bring home.

Whether you decide to move yours into a ceramic pot next spring or continue developing it as pre-bonsai, these are outstanding trees with years of growth already behind them.

The density, shape, and color of the foliage will change naturally with pruning, new growth, care, and the seasons.

Shipping Note

Shipping is free. These trees ship from Massachusetts in an 8" plastic nursery pot. Your selected tree will be watered as needed, secured, and packed carefully for shipment. Minor movement of the foliage, soil, or growing medium may occur during transit.

Care Note

Cork Bark Jade appreciates plenty of bright light, good airflow, and regular pruning during active growth. Allow the soil to approach dryness before watering thoroughly. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet, but do not leave the root system dry for an extended period.

Cork Bark Jade is a tropical species and must be protected from frost and prolonged cold. In colder climates, it should be brought indoors for the winter and placed in the brightest location available. A grow light may be helpful when adequate natural light is unavailable.
