This is an instant forest project. Each group is already planted together in a grow pot, giving you the bones of a future bonsai forest without having to start from individual seedlings. Next spring, the group can be lifted from the grow pot and moved into a ceramic bonsai pot to create an immediate forest-style planting.
We did not chop these back this year because we have been letting them grow to help thicken the trunks. They can absolutely be chopped and developed shorter, and we may chop some before shipping to help avoid oversized shipping fees. Current approximate dimensions are 28" tall, 14" wide, and in a 10" grow pot, but height may be reduced before shipment.

This forest starter ships from our Massachusetts nursery. Bonsai Outlet carefully packs each arrangement to help protect the trunks, branches, foliage, pot, and soil during transit.
To help avoid oversized shipping fees, we may chop the trees back before shipping. This is normal development work for future bonsai forest material and can make the arrangement easier to ship safely.
