Kishu Shimpaku Juniper Bonsai with Incredible Bones in Japanese Pot
This is the exact Kishu Shimpaku Juniper bonsai you will receive. This tree came in on trade and has the kind of bones that make it exciting material for the right owner. It has a full canopy, healthy Kishu foliage, mature branch structure, and plenty of styling potential for someone who wants to take the tree into its next stage.
NOTE: Due to USDA and California state regulations, we can NOT ship junipers to CA.
Kishu Shimpaku is one of the most desirable junipers for bonsai because of its compact foliage, refined texture, and ability to develop beautiful structure over time. This tree is healthy, established, and currently sitting in an older Japanese pot that we believe may be Yamaaki, though we are not confirming the kiln with certainty.
The tree is pot bound and will need a proper repot in spring. If you do not disturb the roots too much, it could be slip-potted into something larger now, then fully repotted next spring. It is priced to sell with that work in mind. For the next owner, there is a lot here to work with: strong existing structure, good foliage, and a tree that is ready for thoughtful styling and refinement.

Shipping Confidence
This tree ships from our Massachusetts nursery. Bonsai Outlet carefully packs each tree to help protect the trunk, branches, foliage, pot, and soil during transit.
Some minor soil movement or light shifting can happen during shipping, especially with living bonsai, but every tree is packed with care by people who understand bonsai.
Please Note
This tree is pot bound and should be repotted in spring. If slip-potting sooner, avoid disturbing the roots heavily. All trees are sold as-is. All sales are final - no refunds, returns, or exchanges. Once the tree leaves our nursery, care is your responsibility. Have questions? Just reach out - we’re happy to help.
We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
