This mature collected American Larch has the kind of natural character that makes collected material so exciting. It has a tall, elegant trunk line, open branching, and bright spring growth that shows the tree is waking up beautifully for the season.
As with all collected trees we offer, this tree was collected several years ago and has already spent at least six seasons growing in its pot. That matters. It means the tree has had time to recover, stabilize, and prove itself before being offered for sale.
This is not a finished bonsai. It is a mature collected pre-bonsai for someone who wants to take an established tree with age, movement, and seasonal character and continue developing it. The structure is still raw enough to give the next owner room to make decisions, but the age and presence are already there.
American Larch is a deciduous conifer, which gives it a very special seasonal rhythm. In spring, it pushes soft, bright green needles. In fall, the foliage turns color before dropping for winter dormancy. For bonsai growers who enjoy trees that change dramatically through the year, larch is a fantastic species to work with.

Please note: American Larch is an outdoor tree and should not be kept indoors. It requires outdoor growing conditions and a true winter dormancy period.

Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.

** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit.
