A professional-looking, resealable stand-up pouch of Bonsai Thrive 180, a time-release fertilizer specifically formulated for the specialized needs of bonsai trees.

The packaging design is split vertically. The left side has a clean, textured white background featuring the product name "BONSAI THRIVE 180" in bold, black lettering beneath an orange circular logo of a stylized crane. Below the product name, several key horticultural benefits are listed: "Long-Lasting Nutrient Supply," "Low Risk of Over-Fertilization," "NPK 19-5-9 in Every Granule," and "Improved Root Development."

The right side of the bag is a deep forest green adorned with delicate, light-green line-art illustrations of leaves and branches. A large, clear, crescent-shaped window on this side reveals the actual fertilizer inside: small, uniform, spherical granules in shades of deep indigo and light blue.

At the bottom of the pouch are icons for "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" and a green checkmark indicating the product is "Ready to Use." The weight is listed as Net Wt. 10 oz (280 g). The overall image conveys a high-quality, specialized maintenance product for bonsai enthusiasts.

A Bonsai That May Reward You with Mulberries

Some bonsai are admired for their flowers. Others are grown for dramatic bark, tiny leaves or fall color. Mulberry offers something even more unexpected: the possibility of fruit.

When mature and provided with the right growing conditions, mulberry trees can produce small berries that ripen from green to shades of red, purple or nearly black. Fruiting can vary by the individual tree, its growing conditions and pollination, so we cannot promise a crop. Still, watching fruit develop on a tree this size is part of what makes mulberry such an interesting and uncommon species for bonsai.

This particular tree has a light, graceful silhouette with several trunks rising together before dividing into a dense canopy of fresh green foliage. The branching gives you plenty to work with, whether you refine it as a naturalistic clump, open the canopy to reveal more of the interior structure or take the design in an entirely different direction.

Mulberries respond well to pruning and grow enthusiastically, which makes them rewarding trees for someone who enjoys being actively involved in development. Their textured bark, recognizable serrated leaves, fast growth and potential to fruit give them character throughout the growing season. This is not a bonsai that simply sits on the bench looking the same all year. It changes, grows and keeps you engaged.

The cream-colored glazed Yixing ceramic pot is a great pairing. Its soft color allows the green foliage and warm bark to stand out without competing with the tree.

You will receive the exact Mulberry bonsai shown in these photographs.

Shipping Confidence

This tree ships from our Massachusetts nursery and will be carefully packed to protect its trunks, branches, roots, soil and glazed ceramic pot during transit.

Please expect some foliage loss during shipping. Mulberries can shed leaves after being boxed, transported and moved into a different environment. The tree may arrive with fewer leaves than shown, and additional foliage may drop while it adjusts.

Please Note

Fruit production is not guaranteed - although we have seen fruit on them. Fruiting can depend on the individual tree, maturity, pollination, pruning and growing conditions.

All trees are sold as-is. All sales are final. No refunds, returns or exchanges. Once the tree leaves our nursery, its care is your responsibility. Have questions? Just reach out. We’re happy to help.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.

Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.

Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
