A professional-looking, resealable stand-up pouch of Bonsai Thrive 180, a time-release fertilizer specifically formulated for the specialized needs of bonsai trees.

The packaging design is split vertically. The left side has a clean, textured white background featuring the product name "BONSAI THRIVE 180" in bold, black lettering beneath an orange circular logo of a stylized crane. Below the product name, several key horticultural benefits are listed: "Long-Lasting Nutrient Supply," "Low Risk of Over-Fertilization," "NPK 19-5-9 in Every Granule," and "Improved Root Development."

The right side of the bag is a deep forest green adorned with delicate, light-green line-art illustrations of leaves and branches. A large, clear, crescent-shaped window on this side reveals the actual fertilizer inside: small, uniform, spherical granules in shades of deep indigo and light blue.

At the bottom of the pouch are icons for "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" and a green checkmark indicating the product is "Ready to Use." The weight is listed as Net Wt. 10 oz (280 g). The overall image conveys a high-quality, specialized maintenance product for bonsai enthusiasts.

Imported Tiger Bark Ficus Bonsai in Show Quality Yixing Ceramic Pot

This is another incredible specimen of Tiger Bark Ficus, and it has the kind of presence that immediately tells you it is not an ordinary tree. Thick, mature, and full of authority, this bonsai has a powerful trunk, dramatic surface roots, and a dense, well-developed canopy that gives it real weight and credibility. It feels substantial from every angle. This is the sort of tree that does not just sit on a bench. It owns its space.

The trunk is broad and heavily textured, with rugged tiger bark character and the kind of age that cannot be faked. There is real mass through the lower section, and the tree carries that strength upward into a branching structure that feels balanced, mature, and composed. One of the most striking features is the way the aerial and surface roots wrap and descend around the base and lower trunk, adding movement, age, and a more tropical, banyan-like feel. It gives the tree even more personality and makes the lower section especially compelling up close.

The canopy is full and confidently built, with multiple strong foliage masses arranged around the trunk to create depth and presence. It feels more finished and more refined than a tree that is simply being offered for future potential alone. There is already enough density here for real display value, while still leaving room for continued refinement as the ramification improves over time. It is an impressive combination of mass, structure, and mature tropical character.

This tree was imported in late 2024. After import, it was moved into a plastic grow pot to re-establish itself and regain strength. In early 2025, it was moved into its current show quality Yixing ceramic pot, where it now presents as a serious, display-worthy bonsai. That progression matters. Trees like this need time after import, and this one was given the proper steps to settle in and move forward the right way.

Tiger Bark Ficus remains one of the most rewarding tropical bonsai species because it responds so well to pruning, builds ramification over time, and develops the aged tropical image that collectors are always chasing. In a specimen of this size and quality, those strengths become even more obvious. This is not a tree you buy because it might become impressive someday. It is already impressive.

The show quality Yixing ceramic pot elevates the entire presentation. The shape, scale, and understated finish suit the strength of the trunk and the fullness of the canopy exceptionally well. It gives the tree a more formal and complete presentation, reinforcing that this is a specimen-level bonsai rather than just a large ficus in a container.

This is a great choice for someone who wants a large, specimen-level tropical bonsai with real age, real presence, and the kind of trunk, bark, and root character that immediately sets it apart. It is a commanding imported Tiger Bark Ficus in a pot worthy of the tree, and it should only become more impressive with continued care and refinement.
