Hand-Carved Wooden Foo Dogs, Pair
Looking for the perfect guardians for your bonsai display? This pair of hand-carved wooden foo dogs brings real presence to a shelf, a display table, or a spot beside your favorite tree.
Foo dogs (guardian lions) traditionally come in pairs. The male rests his paw on a carved ball and protects the home itself. The female keeps a cub under her paw and protects the family inside. Placed side by side, they watch over your space together.
Features
- Sold as a pair: one male, one female
- Deep reddish-brown finish with crisp carved detail in the curled manes, tails, and open snarling mouths
- Each figure sits on its own footed base carved with a Greek key border
- A natural companion for bonsai, suiseki, or accent plantings
Condition
Good condition with light surface wear. The female has a small chip in the carving between her chest and the cub, shown in the third photo. Please review all photos before purchase.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
